I have had moments in my life when I thought I would burst with anxiety. I have felt like I was going to go crazy with all the chaos, stress and frustration going on inside my head and outside my world. I always laughed at the phrase "Calgon take me away"...and yet to this day, we all know exactly what that phrase means. It means we want to take a break, we want to float off in a dreamy relaxing way, and we want to just RELAX, REFRESH, and get RENEWED. I have personally found that when I take time to Retreat, whether it be 3 hours or 3 days, I always end up feeling clearer, inspired, and refreshed. Life just feels better. Many of my retreats are short, mini retreats. And it is amazing what a few hours of intentional retreating can do for you. Retreat is a very overused word. It can conjure up a church group singing around the campfire, to a large corporate gathering in some remote place where they are doing a brainstorming session. My idea of a retreat is an appointed set aside time for yourself that will allow you to relax, think, and to just BE. I believe that retreats are to the soul like medicine is for the body. A retreat can be a group gathering of women, or it can be an individual time that is set aside just for you. | |
I am a retreat coach. To be a retreat coach means that I am trained in creating a space that will allow you to feel safe and comfortable. I believe that I have a special gift of openness and I hope you will you feel my gift of hospitality and you feel comfortable. My crazy sense of humor will have you laughing and my compassionate heart will allow you to be vulnerable if needed. As a retreat coach my job is to gently guide you, and or the group to explore deeper into your heart and soul. As I lead the group you will never feel pushed to do anything you are uncomfortable with or intimidated by. I know how to bring a group together so there is strength and celebration for each woman who attends. You will be amazed at the flow of the group and how your presence will be a gift to everyone at the retreat. Journaling is a major part of my retreats. As you are challenged to look inward, your journal is there to capture your thoughts and your feelings. Each retreat allows time for you to be alone to write and to reflect. When you are watching a sunset you may be challenged to write down all the things you are GRATEFUL for. As you sit and watch a beautiful sunrise I may ask you to create a Life List which includes all your hopes and dreams. You may be sitting in a circle of women and “that thought” just flashes by, and your journal is there to remember the moment. It’s always fun to see what I have for you at each retreat. It may be a special coin or a beautiful poem I've found to give to everyone. I have collected silver tea sets for years and I love to share them at my retreats. You may find yourself around a cozy fire listening to music, or dancing at the sunrise. Whatever it is I like to make it special and you will not regret having taken the time to get away and RETREAT.
